KUELBS JOINS PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE BOARD

John KuelbsJohn Kuelbs has been elected to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors of Santa Ynez Valley People Helping People. Mr. Kuelbs earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Creighton University School of Law, located in Omaha, Nebraska and his Bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University, located near Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In 2012, Kuelbs retired from his position as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Teledyne Technologies. Prior to his position with Teledyne, he was Senior Vice President with Raytheon Systems Company following Raytheon’s acquisition of Hughes Aircraft Company. Kuelbs served as a Corporate Vice President of Hughes Electronics Corporation and Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Hughes Aircraft Company.

Kuelbs had a distinguished military career and is a retired Army Colonel. He is a former Chairman of the American Bar Association’s Public Contract Law Section, a previous member of the U.S. Olympic Committee’s Ethics Oversight Committee and a U.S. Industry Representative to the NATO Industrial Advisory Group. John and his wife, Michele, now reside in Solvang where they have lived for seven years.

Founded in 1992, PHP is a non-profit charity serving the Santa Ynez Valley, Los Alamos Valley, and the Gaviota Coast. PHP’s mission is to “improve the lives of men, women, and children by addressing emergency and basic needs and furnishing comprehensive integrated family and individual support services.”
