U.S. national polo team coach Joel Baker, and his wife Charlotte, will be hosting the 4th annual Santa Ynez Valley Polo Classic, a fundraiser for People Helping People, at his Buellton ranch.

The 4th Annual Santa Ynez Valley Polo Classic fundraiser for People Helping People will feature Team U.S.A represented by three of the team members that played recently to a silver medal finish at the recent 2015 World Championships held in Santiago, Chile.

Jesse Bray, Remy Muller, and Patrick Uretz, will play defending champion Happy Canyon Vineyard in the 2015 version of the Polo Classic.

According to event host and USA Team Coach, Joel Baker, the players on Team USA are rising stars. Baker said that, “these players are some of the top players in our country and they are all under 30 years old. I expect that someday soon they will be among the best in the world.”

This year’s version of Happy Canyon Vineyard will feature a team of “masters” that includes Polo Hall of Famer Memo Gracida, well-known local professional Andy Busch, and event host, Joel Baker. The team will be coached by T.J. Barrack who would normally be playing for the Happy Canyon team that his vineyard sponsors but is currently recovering from back surgery.

Baker and his wife Charlotte are extremely enthusiastic about the Polo Classic and have supported the work PHP does for residents of the Valley for 15 years. “This event provides a venue to see polo at its best, fast paced and action packed, close-up to the field, said Baker. “It’s a great place to socialize, see and be seen, and you get to support the great works of our local non-profit.”
