With a little help from a dentist, People Helping People offered a free preventative dental clinic for children ages two to 15 on Saturday.
Mark Shultz and Luz Cubillos, the two dentists who helped spearhead the clinic, assembled a team of dental hygienists to provide sealants and topical fluoride varnish treatments for Valley children.
“We’re pleased to partner with Dr. Schultz and his team to provide preventative dental care to local children who, due to family income, do not have access to regular dental care,” Arcelia Sencion, PHP’s director of health care and social services said.
The free clinic ran from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at People Helping People’s Service Center at 545 North Alisal Road in Solvang.
